Ministries at Christ Church
Hunger Ministry
We offer food products to any in need. This supplementary food pantry is open during services and by appointment. For an appointment, please call 315-866-0551 and leave a message.
We welcome donations of non-perishable food that doesn't need to be prepared (e.g. canned ravioli, Spaghetti-O's, individually wrapped energy bars) or cash donations to purchase food items (checks can be made payable to "Rector's Discretionary Fund" and mailed to Christ Church, 300 N. Main St, Herkimer, NY 13350). Christ Church also hosts a free Community Dinner on the last Saturday of every month. Anyone, regardless of hunger status, is invited to participate in this fellowship meal. |
Daughters of the King,
Mother Theresa Chapter
The Mother Theresa chapter of the Daughters of the King is devoted to prayer. We pray for our clergy and for all those who request our prayers. We commit to holding up in prayer all those who request it, always respecting the confidentiality of those who request prayer. You may ask for prayer by filling out the paper at the back of the sanctuary during services, or email us here.
Lay Eucharistic Visitors
Our Lay Eucharistic Visitors bring Holy Communion to our home-bound parishioners and distribute communion to the residents of Valley Health Services long-term care and rehabilitation facility every Sunday at 9:30 am.
