Picture
"Starting on the right side of the church near the entry to the parish hall, we have the first set of four lancet windows. This set of four lancet windows were given by Florence Haselhurst Bailey in the year 1930 and bear the inscription: "To the glory of God and in loving memory of my father and mother, Alexander W. and Iola B. The Good Shepherd

Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, standing with a shepherd's crook, holding a lamb in His arms. See the shades of red in His robes, the simple sandals on His feet, the sheep all around Him... trusting in His protection. Notice the sunrise, the grass, the water, the palm trees... a familiar setting in the Holy Land.
The inscription is from John 10:11
I am the Good Shepherd and I know my sheep.

This panel is also labeled, "In memory of Pearl Klock".

Saint James in the Bible

Here we see James referred to as Jesus' brother in two of the Gospels.

Matthew

He returned to Nazareth, his hometown. When he taught there in the synagogue, everyone was amazed and said, “Where does he get this wisdom and the power to do miracles?” Then they scoffed, “He’s just the carpenter’s son, and we know Mary, his mother, and his brothers--James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas. All his sisters live right here among us. Where did he learn all these things?”
  Matthew 13:54-55

Mark

The next Sabbath he began teaching in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed. They asked, “Where did he get all this wisdom and the power to perform such miracles?” Then they scoffed, “He’s just a carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon. And his sisters live right here among us.” They were deeply offended and refused to believe in him.
     Mark 6:2-3
To learn more of James' influence on the world in the name of his brother the Christ, read his very own epistle (one of the apostolic letters in the New Testament) written after Jesus' death to the "Twelve Tribes of the Dispersion" otherwise known as the Jewish diaspora. Click Here!

Saint Matthew in the Bible

Here we see his introduction to Jesus in three of four Gospels.

Matthew

As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at his tax collector's booth. "Follow Me and be my disciple," Jesus said to him. So Matthew got up and followed Him.
Matthew 9:9

Mark

As he walked along, He saw Levi, sonof Alphaeus, sitting at his tax collector's booth. "Follow Me and be my disciple," Jesus said to him. So Levi got up and followed Him.
   Mark 2:14

Luke

Later, as Jesus left the town, He saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at his tax collector's booth. "Follow me and be my disciple," Jesus said to him. So Levi got up, left everything, and followed him.
   Luke 5:27-28
In all three books, the very next text talks about Matthew inviting Jesus to his house along with many sinners. Read on in your Bible or at this link to discover the incredible work Jesus was able to do through Matthew as he followed the Lord throughout his ministry.
