Christ the King
Above the Altar (13)
Christ the King is enthroned in glory over our altar. The Book of Life is in His right hand, the scepter of kingly power in His left hand. Clad in golden robes, His kingly crown is upon His head. Cherubim and seraphim bow before Him, holding a scroll on which is written,
Thou are worthy to receive glory and honor and power.
Revelations 4:11
Below this window is His declaration, "I am He that liveth and was dead and behold I am alive for evermore!"
The story of this window is one of the more interesting sagas regarding the lovely and priceless stained glass windows of this church. When it arrived from England, it did not fit the opening! It was too wide! Carpenters were hastily called back to redo the aperture, and finally, it was installed!
This window was given to the glory of God and in loving memory of Bela & Frank Palmer.
