What to expect at virtual church

When

We will be recording Virtual Church before each Sunday, so they should be posted Saturday evening or early Sunday morning. This means you can do church whenever you're ready! We will attempt to do live church on Facebook and Instagram eventually. Anything live will be done at the scheduled time of the service.

Where

You're here! This is where it will be posted! There will also be a link to submit prayer requests, and offering via credit/debit card.

Who

Absolutely everyone is welcome to participate in Virtual Church, just like absolutely everyone is welcome to come to Christ Church! Don't worry about being "on time", "dressed up" or even "ready". Worship, wherever it is, is about coming as you are!
As for the people you will be seeing on the videos, those are our Vestry members. You can see their names listed on the right side of this page. 

Why

While we should not fear, God gave us the ability to reason, and the Coronavirus is not safe. We are taking every precaution to keep our congregation, visitors, and community healthy as we believe that is caring for our neighbors. Jesus tells us to care for the widow and orphan, the poor and powerless. This is one way we are taking care of all those around us. 

"The God we worship can save us from you and your flaming furnace, but even if he doesn't, we still won't worship your gods and the gold statue you have set up." -Daniel 3:17-18

Also, we have not stopped worshipping! It simply looks a little different! We are excited for something new, but will be very glad when we can safely see each other again! Until then, join us here!
